Фасад, украшенный бешлагверком, включенным в единую декоративную систему наряду с рольверком, ювелирным орнаментом, гермами и наложенным ордерным декором, можно по праву считать визитной карточкой такого явления в архитектуре Германии, как Везерский Ренессанс. Распространение этого орнамента исследователи связывают в первую очередь с именем Х.В. де Вриса и анализируют преимущественно с точки зрения дополнения и усиления семантического значения архитектурного ордера. Однако, если сфокусировать внимание на визуальных характеристиках бешлагверка, то, принимая во внимание его сетчатую структуру, в основе которой лежит переплетение лент, представляется интересным включить его в более широкий контекст попыток человеческого осмысления и освоения пространства. В статье будут освещены вопросы отражения процесса развития этого орнамента в теоретических трудах по архитектуре, охарактеризованы особенности его использования в архитектурной практике, сделаны выводы о возможном потенциале семантической составляющей его применения с точки зрения современного осмысления процессов архитектурного формообразования.
The facade decorated with beshlagwerk which is included into the decorative system together with rollwerk, jewelry ornament, hermes and columns can rightfully be considered as the hallmark of such a phenomenon of the German architecture as the Weser Renaissance. Beschlagwerk was used to decorate fusts and pedestals of columns, gables, as well as a filler for any surfaces, both in stone architecture and in joinery. As a frame ornament beshlagwerk was used in the decoration of epitaphs, mirrors, furniture and household items and also in the design of the title pages of books. Researchers associate the spread of this ornament primarily with the name of H.V. de Vries and analyze it mainly from the point of view of supplementing and strengthening the semantics of the architectural order. However, if we focus on the visual characteristics of the beshlagwerk, then, taking into consideration its mesh structure, which is based on the interweaving of ribbons, it seems interesting to include it in the broader context of human attempts to comprehend and explore space.The article will highlight the issues of the reflection of beschlagwerk in the theoretical works of the considered period, the specific character of its application in the architectural practice. The conclusions about the possible potential of the semantic component of its application from the point of view of modern comprehension of the processes of architectural shaping will be drawn.
