Важнейшей проблемой архитектурной реставрации является проблема сохранения в реставрируемом памятнике диапазона и чувства времени и передача этого чувства человеку. Реставрация, поддержанная современными высокотехнологическими исследованиями, может обеспечить почти абсолютную точность в возвращении исторического облика, как если бы объект был сооружен только сегодня. Однако для выполнения главной цели — создание и открытие памятника обществу, как образа времени — главное — физическое сохранение подлинных исторических элементов и деталей, с возможными элементами руин и патины. Примеры этих двух различных подходов мы видим в современной практике реставрации.
The most important problem of architectural restoration is the issue of preservation of time and feelings range in the restored monument and their conveyance to a person. Therefore, one of the most important issues, which specialists and customers face, is the following option: to reconstruct complete authenticity or to restore an artistic image of the monument in the contemporary environment. Restoration, supported by modern high-tech research, can provide almost absolute accuracy in the reconstruction of a historical appearance, make it look as if it has been built just now. However, to achieve the main goal, i.e. to create and open the monument to the public as an image of time, the main point is physical preservation of authentic historical components and parts with possible elements of ruins and patina. We can see the examples of these two different approaches in modern practice of restoration.
