Исследование особенностей архитектуры малоизученного памятника архитектуры донских армян - церкви Аменапркич (Всеспасителя) в селе Крым (Топты) 1895-1902 гг. - нацелено на представление памятника в архитектуре донских армян и в становлении армянского стиля Нового времени, а также на раскрытие генезиса композиции и декора этой постройки. Исследование привело к заключению о том, что, с одной стороны, типологически церковь Крыма является упрощенной моделью внутренней композиции собора Эчмиадзин, а внутренние формы купола являются интерпретацией купольных глав двух армянских церквей Кафы (Феодосии) в Крыму. С другой, фасадным убранством она проявляет наибольшее сходство с нахичеванской церковью Сурб Карапет. Заимствование редкой особенности оформления фасадов из чертежа альбома Д. И. Гримма роднит церковь в Крыме с этим памятником Нахичевани-на-Дону, свидетельствует о популярности этого альбома чертежей армянских и грузинских памятников.
Очевидно, архитектор хорошо знал архитектуру Кафы и принял решение о воспроизведении подобной купольной главы в церкви рубежа XIX-XX вв. как знаковой формы, неоспоримо признанной поддержать своим присутствием воспоминание о жизни предков донских армян на Крымском полуострове и, возможно, о конкретном храме Кафы.
Снаружи восьмигранный гладкий барабан диссонировал бы декорированным аркатурой нижним объемам и задаче, которую зодчий поставил перед собой в связи с ориентиром на другой образец. Таким образом, облики внешнего вида и интерьера церкви Аменапркич оказались разными и, похоже, преднамеренно разными. Контраст двух образов очевиден и, скорее, предназначен для создания внутри церкви атмосферы, максимально приближенной к традиционной в средневековом армянском храме.
He research of peculiarities of the architecture of a less-studied monument of architecture of Don Armenians, the church of Amenaprkich (All-Savior) in the village of Krym (Topty), 1895-1902, is aimed to its representation in the architecture of Don Armenians and in the shaping of the Armenian style of the Modern Time, as well as to the discovering the origin its plan and decoration. The study concludes, that, on the one hand, the typology of the church in Krym reflects the main part of the inner composition of the Ejmiatsin Cathedral, and internal forms of the dome interpret the domes of two Armenian churches of Kaffa (Feodosia) in the Crimea. On the other hand, its façade decoration has the most similarity to the Surb Karapet Church in Nakhichevan-on-Don. Borrowing a rare feature of the façade design of a drawing from the album by D. I. Grimm makes the church in Krym related to this monument of Nakhichevan-on-Don, testifies to the popularity of this album of drawings of Armenian and Georgian monuments. Undoubtedly, the architect was knowing the architecture of Kaffa and he have interpreted the domes of its churches as a significant shape, which should be supported the memory of Don Armenians on their predecessors' life in the Crimean Peninsula and might be, just in Kaffa. From outside, eight-facet drum might dissonated with the blind arcade decoration of the bottom volume of the church, as well as with the goal of the architect to reflect the exterior of other Armenian church, Surb Karapet of Nakhichevan-on-Don. As a result, the interior and the exterior of Amenaprkich Church are different. This contrast doubtless related with the creation of the atmosphere of the interior, which was proximal to the traditional medieval Armenian church.
