Статья посвящена конструктивным и ордерным особенностям восточной части собора НотрДам в Реймсе, а именно устоям его деамбулатория, которые принадлежат к типу pilier cantonne и являются важной вехой в эволюции готического ордера. В историографии готической архитектуры часто отмечалась излишняя тяжеловесность устоев деамбулатория Нотр-Дам в Реймсе, а иногда и несоответствие их облика периферийному месту в системе восточного конца собора. Настоящее исследование объясняет феномен появления типа опор в деамбулатории в общем контексте развития готической архитектуры.

This paper is devoted to the structural and order features of the eastern part of Notre Dame Cathedral at Reims, namely the piers of its ambulatory, which belong to the pilier cantonne type and are an important stage in the evolution of the Gothic order. The historiography of Gothic architecture has often noted the excessive heaviness of piers of ambulatories of Notre Dame at Reims, and also the inadequacy of their appearance to peripheral place in the system of the eastern end of the cathedral. This study explains the phenomenon of the appearance of pilier cantonne in the ambulatory in the overall context of the development of Gothic architecture.
