<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Among new types of buildings that began to be erected in Delhi with the advent of Muslim power, tombs are the most numerous and diverse group. The Delhi Sultanate (1206-1526) - time of the formation of a new architectural language in India, the emergence and improvement of the constructive techniques of the dome and arch, which were perceived not only from a practical point of view, but became part of political and religious rhetoric, a visual symbol of the new power. The type of cubic domed mausoleum was taken as the basis for most of the main monuments. However, even within the framework of a single typology, with the advent of each new dynasty, a change of tastes took place, which determined an amazing variety of architectural variations. It is also interesting that the number of monuments were built at the same time, the layout and appearance of which practically do not find analogues either on the territory of Hindustan or beyond its borders. Scattered and fragmentary data of historiography, as a rule, do not give a general idea of the development of funerary construction in India before the Mughals. The article proposes to consider the most key and textbook examples (linking them into a single evolutionary chain) and turn to forgotten architectural «incidents», making assumptions about available architectural analogues if possible.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Делийский султанат</kwd><kwd>гробницы</kwd><kwd>сложение типологии</kwd><kwd>купол</kwd><kwd>гумбад</kwd><kwd>гробница- рибат</kwd><kwd>гробница-павильон</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Delhi Sultanate</kwd><kwd>tomb</kwd><kwd>formation of typology</kwd><kwd>dome</kwd><kwd>gumbad</kwd><kwd>tomb-ribat</kwd><kwd>tomb-pavilion</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Танеева-Соломатшаева Л.З.
