В статье приводится опыт исследования механизмов развития зодчества Эпира XIII – начала XIV в. После захвата Константинополя крестоносцами в 1204 г. развитие архитектуры на византийских Балканах сосредоточилось в Эпирском деспотате, возглавляемом династией Комнинов Дук. К середине XIII в. здесь сложилась региональная архитектурная школа, обладающая целым рядом устойчивых характерных черт на уровне типологии, морфологии, строительной техники, декора. Но некоторые композиционные особенности, способы артикуляции архитектурных форм и фасадов, видовой и декоративный арсенал фасадного декора позволяют проследить основные тенденции развития эпирской школы как с течением времени — от  самого ее зарождения в начале XIII в. и до первых десятилетий XIV в., когда она, в соединении с архитектурными практиками других регионов, легла в основу становления палеологовского зодчества, — так и в географических границах ее распространения, от вариантов столичного круга деспотата до их рецепции и трансформации на периферии. Выделяя три основных этапа эволюции эпирской школы, автор приводит развернутую характеристику каждого из них. Предпринимается попытка проследить на каждом из этапов как общие стилистические закономерности, так и более частные тенденции. Отдельные группы памятников позволяют различить строительные артели и в некоторых случаях сделать предположения о работе одних и тех же мастеров. Изложенные в статье наблюдения представляются ценными в свете актуальной на сегодняшней день проблематики исследования поздневизантийского зодчества, сконцентрированной вокруг проблемы регионализма и нацеленной на выявление более частных групп памятников и реализованных в них тенденций. 

The article presents the experience of studying the mechanisms of development of the architecture of Epirus in the 13th – early 14th centuries. After the capture of Constantinople by the Crusaders in 1204, the development of architecture in the Byzantine Balkans was concentrated in the Despotate of Epirus, headed by the Komnenos Doukas. By the middle of the 13th century, a regional school had developed here, which has a number of sustainable features in typology, morphology, building technics and facade decoration. But some features like methods of articulation of architectural forms and facades, vocabular of ornaments of façade brick-decoration allow us to trace the main trends in the development of the Epirote school both over time — from its very inception at the beginning of the 13th century to the first decades of the 14th century when it formed the basis for the formation of palaiologan architecture, as well as in the geographical boundaries of its distribution, from variants of the Arta and its circle to their reception and transformation on the periphery. Identifying the three main stages in the evolution of the Epirote school, the author gives a detailed description of each of them. An attempt is made to trace both general stylistic trends and particular tendencies at each stage. Separate groups of monuments allow us to make some assumptions about the work of the same construction building groups. The observations presented in the article seem to be valuable in the light of the topical issue of the study of Late Byzantine architecture, which is concerned around the problem of regionalism and aimed at identifying more particular groups of monuments and the trends realized in them.
